CHARGE!

If this song were an animal it would definitely be a dragon charging forth into battle and you’d definitely be riding it.  Also, yes, a dragon counts as an animal.

I can thank Stephan Jacobs for this find right here since he included it in his recent mix that I posted.  This song just popped right out and punched me in the face.  Appropriately named Battle Royale it has a very epic feel to it with dark undertones but allows you to get down to it too!  Difficult combination to achieve if you ask me but maybe it was easy for him since he studied electroacoustics for two years (seriously? that’s a thing??) However, it’s done him well!  Started off as a sound designer at Sonart then began producing music in 2005.

Hold onto your face!

Dat FLUTE!!

I feel like electronic music is like Ranch dressing.  As far as I’m concerned you can put that shit on almost everything… as long as it’s done tastefully.  (…get it? …GET IT?! Ok forget it.) Have you ever had ranch on pizza…? You really don’t know what you’re missing. Call Dominos IMMEDIATELY!!

Anywayz, I feel like swirling trap beats into this tantalizing flute was like Ranch on pizza.  There is no greater heaven. The transitioning is seamless and with such a range of sounds to play with, I think that’s quite impressive.   Eat this and find out!

Mixtape me anotha

yyyyyYYYYYYYESSSSSssss!  Stephan threw a mixtape on your face!!!  It’s been a minute now since we’ve gotten more than 3 minutes of Jacobs juicyness.  Obviously it’s taken quite a while to get a mixtape of this caliber.  This mix takes you from grimy Dutch house to bass to trap to you name it, with highlights of hip hop making this musical journey extra super duper womp womp danceable.

I’ve been a fan of Stephan ever since I heard his remix of Gui Boratto’s “No Turning back”.   When I first heard it, I thought my heart was going to break or burst out of my chest or ears or ANYwhere! The emotion was just overwhelming and to this day when I play it I still feel it just as hard as the first time.  To me, this is the reason music exists.

No Sonic Boundaries

There’s nothing I love more than mixing a genre with electronic.  In this case Rell the Soundbender swirled in some Reggae and made a rather tasty cocktail of sounds!  And apparently, this is what Rell became known for.  He first became known for Moombahton and has since delved into trap, hip-hop, and house.  Seems like this guy can’t stop, won’t stop!

GTFU

Get The Fuck UP.

Honestly, I’m not a fan of Eat Sleep Rave Repeat… until I heard this dazzling remix by J Rhythm.  At 1:18 I just kind of had to jump out of my chair!

Luckily for us, J Rhythm is a SoCal native and is tearin’ up clubs all over town and it’s not hard to see why!  His mixes are definitely dance worthy and beyond. So be sure to stalk him and see him live and local: https://twitter.com/JRYTHM
