Bound 2 Dance

This remix is straight out tha salon bitch!!  Epoch is gonna rock dance floors with this one!  Super dance-able beat and a crisp mixing of fresh sounds with just a  few lines from our beloved Kanye perfectly peppered in.  Ashamedly, I am a fan of Kanye but honestly, we really don’t need much of him interrupting Epoch’s masterpiece. I’m sure Taylor Swift would agree. Womp wommmp!

I first saw Epoch this past year at LA Decomp and was blown away.  Still in the youth of their career, their gritty grimy yet bouncy notes drew in a huge crowd of energy and movement!  You’ve gotta get following ’em, or they’ll leave without you!!

FLY

This new Kairo Kingdom remix from Stephen Jacobs has got me feeling like I can fly! Don’t worry, he snuck in a little trap sizzle. Vox at 1.42: BLOWING my mind! And if the siren-like buzzes and squeals don’t stand your hair on end, then I don’t know what to tell you…

Dat FLUTE!!

I feel like electronic music is like Ranch dressing.  As far as I’m concerned you can put that shit on almost everything… as long as it’s done tastefully.  (…get it? …GET IT?! Ok forget it.) Have you ever had ranch on pizza…? You really don’t know what you’re missing. Call Dominos IMMEDIATELY!!

Anywayz, I feel like swirling trap beats into this tantalizing flute was like Ranch on pizza.  There is no greater heaven. The transitioning is seamless and with such a range of sounds to play with, I think that’s quite impressive.   Eat this and find out!

Mixtape me anotha

yyyyyYYYYYYYESSSSSssss!  Stephan threw a mixtape on your face!!!  It’s been a minute now since we’ve gotten more than 3 minutes of Jacobs juicyness.  Obviously it’s taken quite a while to get a mixtape of this caliber.  This mix takes you from grimy Dutch house to bass to trap to you name it, with highlights of hip hop making this musical journey extra super duper womp womp danceable.

I’ve been a fan of Stephan ever since I heard his remix of Gui Boratto’s “No Turning back”.   When I first heard it, I thought my heart was going to break or burst out of my chest or ears or ANYwhere! The emotion was just overwhelming and to this day when I play it I still feel it just as hard as the first time.  To me, this is the reason music exists.

Slow Motion Sunday

It’s noon on a Sunday, so you probably aren’t awake yet.  But when you DO open those bleary eyes and ears, I’ll have this soft sexy song spooning you awake.  Warning: this song might me you wanna get back in bed and light some candles if you know what I meeeEEEEAANNNnn!!!! Bowchikkabowbowwwww! 😉

ASTR is a duo living and producing in NYC that met at a yoga class. (I simply adore that.) Their sound is influenced by cinema noire,  Miami Vice and Urban dreamscape.

No Sonic Boundaries

There’s nothing I love more than mixing a genre with electronic.  In this case Rell the Soundbender swirled in some Reggae and made a rather tasty cocktail of sounds!  And apparently, this is what Rell became known for.  He first became known for Moombahton and has since delved into trap, hip-hop, and house.  Seems like this guy can’t stop, won’t stop!

GTFU

Get The Fuck UP.

Honestly, I’m not a fan of Eat Sleep Rave Repeat… until I heard this dazzling remix by J Rhythm.  At 1:18 I just kind of had to jump out of my chair!

Luckily for us, J Rhythm is a SoCal native and is tearin’ up clubs all over town and it’s not hard to see why!  His mixes are definitely dance worthy and beyond. So be sure to stalk him and see him live and local: https://twitter.com/JRYTHM
